How to Use Scenery with Ecamm
Updated over a week ago

With Ecamm, you can create all kinds of incredible video, including live streams, podcasts, vertical video, course materials, YouTube videos, and more. And one of the best parts of Ecamm is that all of your video files are saved automatically to your Mac so you can use them however you'd like.

And we know that you want to be able to edit your videos easily.

So we've partnered with Scenery to bring you seamless, collaborative video editing with tons of AI tools built right in! Get ready to maximize your video workflow.

What is Scenery?

Scenery is a collaborative video editing workspace for asset management, editing, and review — with AI assisted workflows.

With Scenery, you can create video transcripts, quick edit video clips for promotion, and collaborate on videos with your team so you can get feedback and work together on editing.

How does it work?

Continue using Ecamm how you normally would (to live stream, podcast, or record videos). You'll see Quick Edit in Scenery including among the options when you've finished a live stream.

Or when you end a recording:

As you can see above, the buttons look a little different depending on whether you're streaming or just recording in Ecamm, but the results will be the same.

When you press Quick Edit in Scenery or you choose a Scenery Quick Edit action using one of these buttons, the video you created in Ecamm will be sent to Scenery to add subtitles, edit with AI, collaborate on editing with team members, trim down your video, add music, and much more.

If you don't yet have a Scenery account, you'll be prompted to set one up. If you have a Scenery account, you'll be prompted to login.

Custom Edit

Custom edit in Scenery allows you to edit your video, including adding graphics, sound effects or music, titles, and more.

Scenery allows you to save your brand assets, collaborate and share files with team members, and leverage built in libraries. You can edit in their timeline video editor or work collaboratively in their canvas view, which allows you to explore ideas and see all of your media in one place with a multiplayer whiteboarding canvas. And everything is quickly sharable at the push of a button when you're ready to get some quick feedback.

Edit with AI

If you're not sure where to start, get some help from AI. Scenery’s AI Editor tool analyzes your video’s transcript and lets you generate an edit by describing what you want to create (or choosing from one of their preset options, which you can also customize as you wish). It's magic!

Auto Subtitles

If you're looking to add subtitles to your video, choose Scenery's Auto Subtitles. This feature does exactly what it says - adds subtitles/captions to your video. You can choose from a few predesigned styles to make it easy or create your own.

Pro tip: you can start with a predesigned style and then edit the colors or fonts in Scenery to match your brand.
