Choose Preferences from the Ecamm menu, then open General.
Hiding Comments After a Set Time
Check Automatically Hide Comment Overlays After and enter the number of seconds you want a comment to stay on screen. For example, choose 10 seconds to give each comment a short appearance before it disappears automatically.
Hiding Comments When You Change Scenes
Check Automatically Hide Comment Overlays When Scene Changes to clear the displayed comment as you move to another Scene. This option is on by default.
These settings work independently. You can clear comments when changing Scenes without setting a time limit, or use both options together.
