To identify your Mac's Model Name, Processor Name, Processor Speed, Memory, etc. follow these steps:
Select 'About this Mac' from the menu at the top of the screen.
A window will show up with your Mac's version number, processor and memory.
Click on "System Report" (or "More Info" on older systems) to open the System Profiler. A detailed list of information about your Mac is provided.
