Canon EOS M50 Image Freezes

When using the M50 over USB, it is necessary to have the viewfinder pointed outwards.

Updated over 4 years ago

The Canon EOS M50 is a great camera to use for live streaming.
With Ecamm Live you can simply connect it to your Mac using a micro-USB cable.

In order for it to work properly, be sure to swing out the viewfinder, and rotate it so it's facing you. You can fold it back, as long as it's still facing outward.

If you don't do this, this streaming image will freeze after a few seconds.

Also, as with all Canons, be sure to remove the memory card before using for streaming.

If you're still having trouble, here are more troubleshooting steps.
