How to adjust the volume of a Skype call

Updated over 10 months ago

Please note: Call Recorder for Skype is no longer supported and will no longer be updated. For more details about this please refer to this article.

Call Recorder records from the audio input (your microphone) without any changes to the volume.

To adjust your own microphone volume level, use the input volume adjustments in the Input tab of the Mac's System Preferences Sound panel.

To adjust the other person's audio level, use the volume slider control in Call Recorder's control window.

Note that this control is only available in Call Recorder when using Skype 8 or newer. For Skype 7, use the volume slider in Skype's Audio/Video preference panel.

Audio levels can also be adjusted after the call using Ecamm Movie Tools.
