If you’re trying to add your own comments to a livestream on your personal Facebook profile directly from Ecamm, you may notice that this option isn’t available. Note that posting comments from Ecamm is supported for YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook Business Pages.
Why This Happens
Posting comments to a personal Facebook profile from within Ecamm is not supported due to limitations in Facebook’s API. Facebook restricts third-party apps from publishing comments to personal profiles. Because of this platform-level limitation, Ecamm is unable to send comments on your behalf to a personal profile stream.
Workaround
You can post comments directly on Facebook by navigating to your live video in your web browser or on the Facebook mobile app. You will want to ensure that the livestream is muted.
