"Camera might be blocked" message in Google Meet

Why do I see a message in Google Meet saying that my camera might be blocked when using the Ecamm Live Virtual Camera?

Updated over a week ago

Google Meet recently introduced a feature that will warn you when your camera appears to be frozen or covered. When no on-camera motion is detected by Meet, you may receive this message:

"Camera might be blocked. Check your camera's privacy switch and remove anything that is covering the camera lens."

Unfortunately, this can also be triggered by other content with no visible motion, like slides or screen shares.

To workaround this, you can add a countdown timer, a scrolling ticker, or something else that introduces motion into your scene while you're not on camera.
