Using Quarantined Audio Components

Newly installed audio components may not work because they are quarantined by Apple's Gatekeeper security.

Ecamm's Audio Filter feature supports a wide array of third-party audio plugins, which can be added to the folder at:

Macintosh HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components

Some newly installed components may result in this error message due to Apple's Gatekeeper security feature:

To remove the plug-in from Gatekeeper's quarantine, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Show in Finder button in the message above to reveal the Components folder.

  2. Right-click or control-click on the component file, and pick Open. Another message will be displayed:

3. Click Choose Application..., and pick Music.app.

4. Quit Music.app.

5. Quit and re-open the Ecamm Live app. A new message will appear:

6. Click Open. The plug-in will now load.
