Video Monitor provides the ability to monitor your broadcast on additional displays connected the Mac. This includes any display that the Mac can use as a secondary monitor, connected by Thunderbolt, DisplayLink, HDMI, or AirPlay.

Activate Video Monitor by picking the display in Outputs ➝ Video Monitor. If you do not see your secondary display listed in the menu, ensure that it is showing up in the Mac’s System Preferences (or Settings) ➝ Displays panel and is not set up to mirror the primary display.

Pick Program Output to show your finished program, or Multiview to see your program, preview, camera sources, and audio meters together.

With more than one display connected, you can set each display independently. For example, use one display for your program and another for Multiview.

In Dual Mode, you can also choose Horizontal Canvas, Vertical Canvas, or Main Window. Main Window shows the combined layout of both canvases.

Once activated, Video Monitor will remain on until it is turned off in the Outputs menu or by clicking on the gray button in the top-left corner of the Main Window.

Use the Show Audio Levels option to add audio meters to a monitor output. Choose Off for an individual display, or All Off to stop all Video Monitor outputs.

If a display is missing, check that macOS recognizes it in System Settings ➝ Displays and that it is set up as a separate display and not a mirrored display.

Video Monitor requires an Ecamm Pro subscription.

Audio Monitor provides the ability to monitor your broadcast’s audio via any connected audio output device such as headphones or an HDMI display.

Note that you will likely never want to turn on audio monitoring for any audio output that isn’t a headset or a speaker located in a different room, as this will create feedback. As such, your Mac’s built-in speakers will not be listed as an output in this menu.

Activate Audio Monitor by picking the audio output device in Outputs ➝ Audio Monitor.

Once activated, Audio Monitor will remain on until it is turned off in the Outputs menu or by clicking on the gray button in the top left corner of the Main Window.

NDI Output provides the ability to send your broadcast to any Newtek NDI® capable devices found on the network.

Activate NDI Output by picking a video resolution in Outputs ➝ NDI® Output.

Once activated, NDI Output will remain on until it is turned off in the Outputs menu or by clicking on the gray NDI button in the top left corner of the Main Window.

Ecamm support NDI's tally feature. The gray NDI icon in the main window will display a tally indicator when clients connect to the NDI output. Click the icon to see details about how many clients are connected.

You can send individual camera sources over NDI as well as your finished program. This is useful when another computer or app needs a particular camera or guest feed.

Use the same menu and choose Off to stop the source output. While it is active, the source shows an NDI indicator. Its menu also shows the connection count and tally status supplied by connected receivers.

Source NDI Output is also available for connected Interview guests in the Camera Switcher and from a captured Zoom guest’s menu. Incoming NDI sources do not offer this option.
